Wedding at The Devonshire Arms, Skipton

It seems like every wedding that I shot last year was on the other side of Leeds.  Every time I put the postcode of the wedding venue in Google Maps it’d come back with 45 mins.  I suppose I should be grateful that where we live in Sherburn in Elmet, we seem to be 45 mins from everywhere in Yorkshire! It’s good to be central!

I’ve shot many weddings in the Skipton area that are near The Devonshire Arms, but never at the actual Arms before.  The Devonshire Fell and The Red Lion, both in Burnsall, just up the road, are fantastic venues.  Also, who could forget the Barden Priests House on the Bolton Abbey Estate?  I’ve done four or five weddings there now and it’s one of my favourites – it’s beautiful.  When it comes to it, if you’re getting married in the Skipton area, you’re spoiled for choice!

Caroline & Joe’s wedding day was one that I’d been looking forward to for quite a while.  They’re a lovely couple and very relaxed – my ideal clients.  I knew that the Arms would be a great venue and, providing the weather played ball, which it did, it was going to be a fab day.

Have a flick through the photographs and remember what it was like to feel warm outside.

Booking for 2019 / 2020

2019 is rapidly filling up now, but let’s have a chat about those wedding days you’ve got planned.  If you’d like to meet to discuss your big day, please feel free to get in touch.
