The Crow Hill Wedding of Sarah & Thom

It’s been a busy 2nd half of the year for me and Fiona, so I’ve fallen a bit behind with posting some weddings for you to look at. I’m starting to get caught up now though and so there will be plenty of new weddings coming on the blog so keep your eyes peeled…

I was really happy when Sarah & Thom chose me to photograph their wedding at Crow Hill near Huddersfield. I knew right away when I first met them and again when we met up for their Pre-Wedding Portrait Shoot that we’d get along well and everything that they had planned for their big day sounded brilliant. You can learn more about my pre-wedding portrait photography.

Crow Hill is a fantastic Victorian country home on the edge of Marsden Moor, just outside Huddersfield and Sarah and Thom had the whole place to themselves (and their family and friends) for the day. When I arrived in the morning, Sarah was the only person up and making a cup of coffee ( I timed my arrival perfectly!! ). The rest of the bridesmaids joined us once the smell of fresh coffee made it up the stairs to their rooms and shortly after, Kelly the hairdresser arrived to start work.

After a super-relaxed morning shooting the ladies getting ready, and finding out how Sarah earned her ‘Stumps’ nickname (It confused me for ages as the bridesmaids kept calling Sarah, Stumps. I had to ask in the end…), it was downstairs to the ceremony where Thom was waiting eagerly.

I’ll let the photographs tell the story of the rest of the day…
