First Response Group: Business & Corporate Headshots

First Response Group, a Security and Facilities Management company in Leeds, booked me to do their headshots at the back end of last year.  It was a headshot session that I was really looking forward to because they’d requested a style that I love.  Black & White portraits on a white background.  It’s a classic and timeless look.  Fashions in headshots come and go, but this look has always been a staple and harks back to the days of Richard Avedon & David Bailey, who really brought it to the forefront of people’s attention.

When it comes to business or corporate headshots, I feel like it’s a look that suggests your company isn’t swayed by short lived trends, it’s a look for classic businesses that get on with things and get the job done in a no nonsense way.

This is the look that companies like IKEA go for, because of its simplicity & directness, but then it also has a very artistic quality to it too – I imagine that it’s the look that a Danish Architect would want.  I guess I’ll have to wait until a Danish Architect gets in touch for some headshots…
