Mixing Natural Light & Strobe

I’ve worked with Phil the chorographer on a few theatrical projects over the last couple of years.   I should make it clear at this point that although Phil is an accomplished dancer & choreographer and we were both involved in the same theatre project, I was taking photographs. Not dancing.

It was a great shoot because Phil came prepared – he had several outfits that worked well with the backdrops.  And then there was the hat.  I love the hat!

From a lighting perspective, I used a lot of natural light for these and then shot a few with strobe, made to look as much as possible like natural light – it’s a look I’ve been working on for Headshots.

Booking a Portrait

It’s looking like under the new Tier system for December, we’ll be able to open the studio – that’s what we’ll be doing from December 3rd.  There’s a few things booked in already.  There’s a few Headshot shoots for actors, no more Choreographer s so far… and a few corporate shoots.  If you’d like to book in for a portrait shoot or headshot shoot, let me know as soon as possible.  Especially in the case of portraits, we’ll need as much time as possible to make sure that prints and frames are completed on time.
