Theatre Photography – Actor’s Portraits in Character

Over the last few years, I’ve been working with several theatrical production groups on various different projects.  You may have seen a few posts on here featuring some of the photographs.   The Latest project that I’ve been collaboration on is What Are You Hungry For, by CVIV Arts production company.   It’s a year long project that’s seen me doing several different kinds of photography.  Some studio photography – like the ones below.   Some rehearsal documentary style stuff and then some location portraits.  We did the location portraits at Left Bank in Leeds and I’m really looking forward to sharing them, although they are already on Instagram.  It worked out really well, with Left Bank being an old church. The interior made a fantastic frame to those portraits.

These portraits below, were for some of the advertising and marketing material for the production and were all shot in our studio.

Busy Times & Family Portraits

We re-opened the studio on a limited basis back in April.  Since then, it’s been manic!  After the 2nd relaxing of restrictions at the beginning of May, the studio is fully open.  Yes, there’s facemasks and the whiff of hand sanitiser, but it’s good to be back!

We’ve been shooting a lot of headshots, both for business & actors.  Fiona has been preparing the Newborn Photography side of things that she’ll be launching over the Summer.  We’ve also had quite a few family portrait sessions, with a load more booked for the summer.  It’s certainly going to be a busy & exciting Summer as we make up for losing last year – and introduce the Newborn Portraits.  If you’re interested in booking in, either for headshots or family portraits, feel free to drop us an email.  Just click on ‘Contact Us’ at the top of the page.
