What To Expect

Newborn portrait sessions are a wonderful way to preserve the early moments of your baby’s life.  Creating timeless memories that you and your family will cherish forever is what we do.

To ensure that your experience is relaxed and enjoyable, here’s what you can expect during your newborn portrait session with us at True North Studio.

The first few weeks of life with your newborn can pass by in a haze of feeding and sleepless nights; Step in to our warm and inviting studio. Sit back with a cup of coffee and a biscuit or two and relax.

We’ll take it from here (for the next few hours anyway!)

During The Photography Session

Your baby is in caring and capable hands so you can fully enjoy the session. While you take a well earned rest, we will work hard to create a collection of beautiful and timeless images for you to treasure.

During the session, we will capture a wide range of poses and setups to create a diverse and stunning portfolio of images. From adorable curled-up poses to heart-melting close-ups of tiny hands and feet. Each shot will showcase the unique charm of your little one.

Newborn portrait sessions require time and patience. We are a baby led studio and understand that all babies work to their own schedules. We allow plenty of time for feeding, changing and cuddling whenever your baby needs it.

We’ll ensure that your baby is carefully posed and supported at all times. Safety measures are paramount, and we are experienced in handling newborns delicately to guarantee their well-being throughout the shoot.

The newborn portrait session isn’t just about your little one; Why not make it more of a family session? Bring along Siblings, grandparents or even a well behaved pet to get in on the action.

After The Session

After your session we will create a password protected proofing gallery for you.  From here you can select your images for retouching. At this stage you can build your package from our wide selection of prints, wall art, albums and digital products.
