Harrison: Student Actor

Harrison is at University studying to become an actor.   While he’s there he’s wanting to attend auditions and get himself an agent for when he graduates.  Perhaps the most important thing in any actor’s arsenal when it comes to casting calls, is their headshot.  A good headshot, showing how you look, not in a fake way, but on your best day, is essential.

You don’t want your headshot to be retouched to the point that you’re barely recognisable.  Basically, your headshot should be what you’d look like if you drank nothing but water, ate nothing but salad  and went to bed at 8pm for a month.  It’s you, but it’s the best you.    Your headshot is your business card & your first impression.  It’s far too important to be using something that doesn’t do you justice.  I may be biased, but you need to be looking for a portrait photographer who specialises in headshots.  Someone who speaks to casting directors and agents on a regular basis to keep up with market trends.  If you’re interested, I know a good studio…
