York Wedding Photographer: Rachel & Rob at Sandburn Hall

I’m a bit of a regular at Sandburn Hall.  I love working there (You can see why on their site).  Every wedding there is different, but the one thing that’s the same, is that it’s such a great location for a wedding.  Indoor weddings have the massive window.  Outdoor weddings are in the beautiful rose garden, which is also perfect for photographing family groups and then there’s the woods…

The thing that I love most about those woods in summer, is that at about 7pm, the sun comes streaming through the trees and the whole place takes on a life of it’s own.

The Big Day

Rachel & Rob’s wedding was last year.  I’d been looking forward to this one for a long time as, because of Covid etc. this was their 3rd try at getting over the wedding line.  I was starting to worry that they might give up!!!  You’d think that with all of that time to prepare, Rachel might not have been putting the finishing touches to her vows that morning 😉

What else can I say – it was a great day.  Great people. Great venue.  The weather was absolutely boiling hot – perfect!
