Sutton On The Forest Wedding of Caroline & Nick

Sutton on the Forest, near York, is another one of the beautiful villages in Yorkshire that I cycle through regularly.  I’ve often passed Sutton Park without stopping as you can’t see that much of it from the road.  Since Caroline & Nick’s wedding, I’ve learned that there’s an excellent tea room there, so it’ll be a regular stop from now on!

Both Caroline & Nick got ready in Sutton, before heading to their local church, All Hallows, in the village.  It worked perfectly as it was a beautiful day and a 5 minute walk between them, so I  managed to get some shots of both of them getting ready.  After the beautiful wedding ceremony it was off to Sutton Park, which is literally over the road. Less than 2 minutes walk.  I love relaxed days like this!

Sutton Park is stunning.  It’s not just a gorgeous house.  The gardens are amazing and range from pristine ornamental, to rustic cottage gardens.  As a photographer, you’re pretty much spoiled for choice…

The afternoon and evening festivities took place in the marquee at the bottom of the gardens – the perfect place for music, dancing and running around with a croquet mallet, pretending that you’re Harry Potter…

Caroline & Nick opted to have the full day photographed.  It was really easy for me to do that without a 2nd photographer, as they were only 5 mins apart.  If you’d like  to see more details of our packages, or if you’d like to see loads more real weddings, head to the Wedding Page
