Claire & Andy Get Married in Penistone

It’s been a busy July for me this year.  Between photographing new weddings and editing the ones I’ve already shot I’ve also managed to update the website. Hopefully, you’ll agree that it has a whole new look to it.  If you haven’t had a chance to have a look around yet, feel free to have a look at a few of the pages and by all means, let me know what you think – I appreciate all feedback.

The other side of being so busy at the moment is that it’s often difficult to keep the blog up to date, in fact, the wedding I’m posting about today was from May this year, but at least that means that when it starts to get colder and more Autumnal on an evening, I’ll still have plenty of summer weddings to write about.

Claire & Andy got married at Cubley Hall in Penistone near Sheffield in May this year. It’s a great venue and one that I’ve been lucky enough to work at before (Sandra & the staff there always look after the photographers – Great food and coffee!!). I’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since we met up last autumn to take some Pre-Wedding Portraits as Claire & Andy are a really relaxed & fun couple, we had a great time at Brodsworth Hall & I knew their wedding day would be really enjoyable. Claire and her bridal team got ready at the hall while Andy and his ushers got ready a short, but beautiful moorland drives away, at home. Since the morning was so relaxed I managed to spend time with both of them, documenting them both preparing for the big day. Capturing the preparations is one of my favourite parts of photographing and documenting a wedding day as it’s probably the part of the day where I get to see them the most naturally – I love to see the nerves, excitement and emotion and to record it all for them. The ceremony and reception took place in the gorgeous barn at the hall and then after dinner, we took advantage of the golden evening light to take a walk and some photographs of just the two of them…and Claire spinning in her dress!

A Summer evening with family and friends in a beautiful place. A Perfect day.
