Nicole & Joe’s big day at Newburgh Priory in Yorkshire
I’ve been to Newburgh Priory a few times for weddings. It’s a beautiful big stately home with a view of the Yorkshire Moors. Just over the lake, in the distance, you can see the White Horse of Sutton Bank.
Nicole & Joe had their wedding ceremony near Selby. Now, those of you with a geographical knowledge of Yorkshire, will know that not exactly near Newburgh Priory – it was quite a drive – but on a lovely sunny day, with the radio on.
The wedding reception was in the ruins of the old Priory at the back of the house. It’s a perfect little suntrap back there and ideal for an outdoor wedding!

Nicola & Joe went for our half day package. I met them at the church and then was there until everyone sat down to eat. It’s a good way to get the most important part of the day captured in a natural, documentary style. If you’d like to see more details about packages, feel free to take a look here, on the Weddings page.
